Creeping Baby

Kayla is now learning to crawl!! She cant quite get on her hands and knees yet, but she scoots backwards. In this picture, she scooted under her jungle frog and got herself stuck. The wood floor makes it easier on her because she is able to slide better. She is trying to get to her toy phone in the picture below.

Elder Jason Bodine entered the MTC on Wed. Jan 16. He is serving a mission in Catania Italy. He and Kayla have a special bond. Every time Jason walks into the room, Kayla stops whatever she is doing and stares at him and smiles. She has done that even since she was a newborn. He really loves her too. He said she is the only person he is going to miss while he is gone.

Sorry that I haven't been updating the blog- I have been busy with school- but the only person that has even visited our site is Grandma Barrett. I will try and do better now Grandma :) I took my final final finally a couple weeks ago. I am graduating!!!! Yahoo!! Yippee skippee!! It is the best feeling. It was difficult going to school with a baby, but I am so glad I did it because now I am a college grad! Brandon has one more semester and is waiting to hear back from medical schools. We had a great Christmas. Kayla loved opening her presents. She loves to play with paper and rip it apart, so unwrapping presents was a natural instinct.
