5What was I doing 10 yrs ago...
Ten Years ago I was 14 years old and was going into 9th grade. I got my little puppy Quigley for my birthday. I liked Martin Heimuli (man has my taste changed since then)
I had just finished my Freshman year of college and was running for UVSC. I moved home for the summer from the Riviera apts. I worked at Pizza Factory as a server.

I had just had Kayla and she was about a month old. Wow! She has grown a ton!

Yesterday...
I did laundry at my parent’s house, took Kayla to the doctor (she has an ear infection), went to a wedding reception and caught up with my good friend Lisa, played with Kayla, and went to bed early because I was tired from the long day of a sick baby.

5 snacks I enjoy....
Mint chocolate chip ice cream, Starbursts, Mint Milano cookies, ice cream, ice cream

5 favorite books
I don’t really know. I will just name the books I read most recently; Pride and Prejudice, Twilight, Bourne Identity, The Firm, and Harry Potter 7

5 places to run....
The bathroom (after eating Mexican food), out of our apartment and to wherever we are moving for med school!

5 bad habits...

Eating too much ice cream, driving fast, being too gassy

5 pet peeves
Leaving the time left on the microwave without clearing it after cooking something

I agree with Nat, I hate it when kids have really dirty faces and boogars all over the place.

I don’t like it when people poke me with their finger.

5 things I enjoy...
A nice long nap, playing with Kayla, spending time with Brandon (it doesn’t happen enough), ice cream, vacations, my family

5 favorite tv shows...
The Office, The Bachelor (or Bachelorette), American Idol, 24 (except it didn’t air this season!), and Gilmore Girls (I know I know, I used to hate it too, but lately I like it and it is kind of funny once you get passed the terrible acting and them talking way to fast).

5 people I'd love to meet
Oprah Winfrey, Josh Groban, Kelli Ripa, Thomas S. Monson

5 people to tag...
Maddy

What Kayla Can Do Now!

Kayla is growing up so fast and I just cannot believe that it has been a year since we had her! Here are the things that she can do now
*She stands all by herself. She wont take a step alone, but she is close
*Dances any time she hears music.
It is so cute because she starts bouncing and shaking her head any time music it on. I am going to have to sign her up for dance lessons!
*Things she says
-mama
-dada
-uh-oh
-no no
-thank you (it is her own version, it sounds a little like "koo")
-bark like a doggy
*She finally learned how to pet the doggy gently! Quigley isn't a big fan of her so he tries to get away from her though.
*She has been climbing up the stairs for awhile now, but hasn't figured out how to get down.
*She sings when she is dancing sometimes (In baby talk of course)
*She recently discovered some holes in her face

Feeding the Ducks and a Day at the Pool

Kayla and I went down to BYU where Brandon is working and we had a little picnic and fed the ducks. I have a little phobia of ducks so I didn't have a wonderful time, but it was fun to watch Kayla because she was very interested and curious about them. I was scared that they were going to bite her a couple times.

On Friday I took Kayla to the pool for the first time. She was a little cautious when we first got in the water, but eventually she started splashing and crawling around in the shallow area. Isn't her little swimming suit the cutest!

I'm 24!

I turned 24 of Friday and Brandon took me to see the Garden's at Thanksgiving Point. We had so much fun and it was beautiful! Brandon treated me like a princess the entire day (he treats me like that every day, but that day was even better). For my gifts we got a new kitchen table and chairs (which I love!), a web cam (so we can talk to our families when we go to med school), and a DVD he made of pictures from the last three years.

My birthday got even better when we were hanging out with Bryce and Maddy and she told me about hair extensions. With birthday money from my parents I went and purchased some the next day. I have always wanted long, thick hair and I absolutely love them! They are so easy to put in and take off so I don't have to wear them every day, but I want to! Thanks Maddy!!!!

Kayla's 1st Birthday!

Kayla turned 1 on the 30th of May! She is getting so big and she has so much personality! We had a simple celebration with both of our families there. She loves balloon's so we blew up a bunch and let her go to town. She loved opening her presents too!
